Weaving Culture, Connection

In the heart of Los Angeles, Jewel Moore is redefining the art of bringing people together. As the visionary behind SoulFood & SoundTracks, she orchestrates unforgettable gatherings where every flavor and every note tells a story; an experience equal parts dinner party, cultural celebration and soulful homecoming.

“What inspired me to create SoulFood & SoundTracks was my love for community and how food and music naturally bring us together. Growing up, sharing meals and music was how we built bonds and celebrated culture. I wanted to curate an event that honors that spirit—where every dish and every song sparks connection, joy, and a sense of belonging.”

THE ARTIST AS CURATOR

WITH A DECADE OF EXPERIENCE AS A MARKETING STRATEGIST AND SOCIAL IMPACT CHAMPION, JEWEL’S PASSION IS STORYTELLING IN ALL ITS FORMS. HER EVENTS, PAIRING CHEF-INSPIRED MENUS WITH THE SOUNDTRACKS OF ICONIC BLACK FILMS , PAY HOMAGE TO BLACK HERITAGE IN A UNIQUELY IMMERSIVE WAY.

Through SoulFood & SoundTracks, guests don’t just eat; they experience a journey where every bite is seasoned with history, community and nostalgia and every song is a bridge across generations. Recognized by Toyota as a “premium, culturally rich event”, SoulFood & SoundTracks is not just a dinner, it’s a movement that celebrates Black joy, unity and excellence.

UPLIFTING THROUGH CHALLENGES

JEWEL’S COMMITMENT TO ACCESSIBILITY AND COMMUNITY IS UNWAVERING, EVEN AS DEMAND AND RECOGNITION GROW. FINDING THE RIGHT VENUES AND KEEPING THE EXPERIENCE AFFORDABLE, WITHOUT NONPROFIT STATUS OR CONSISTENT SPONSORSHIPS, REQUIRE BOTH CREATIVITY AND GRIT. YET HER DEDICATION TO KEEPING EVERY EVENT WELCOMING AND INCLUSIVE NEVER WAVERS.

“BALANCING GROWTH WITH AFFORDABILITY IS AN ONGOING CHALLENGE, BUT WE APPROACH IT CAREFULLY. WE’RE PASSIONATE ABOUT EXPANDING THE REACH AND IMPACT OF SOULFOOD & SOUNDTRACKS WHILE KEEPING IT ACCESSIBLE AND WELCOMING TO OUR COMMUNITY.”

INTENTIONAL IMPACT

JEWEL’S EVENTS FOSTER MORE THAN VIBRANT CONVERSATION; THEY SPARK HEALING AND PRIDE. BY HIGHLIGHTING BLACK CULTURE’S STORIES AND SOUNDS, SHE BUILDS COMMUNAL SPACES WHERE PEOPLE FEEL SEEN, HEARD, AND CELEBRATED.

“THE MOST MEANINGFUL IMPACT I COULD ASK FOR IS KNOWING MY WORK CREATES MOMENTS WHERE PEOPLE FEEL SEEN, HEARD AND CELEBRATED.”

FOR JEWEL, BEING FEATURED IN HERGRRUV MAGAZINE IS ABOUT LEGACY AND LEADERSHIP. IT MEANS AMPLIFYING THE STORY OF SOULFOOD & SOUNDTRACKS FOR A WIDER AUDIENCE; ONE THAT VALUES AUTHENTICITY AND THE POWER OF BLACK WOMEN IN CULTURE, COMMUNITY AND CREATIVITY.
