“RESTORED & READY”
On Saturday, August 2, 2025, women from across Los Angeles gathered in Torrance, CA, for a milestone celebration—ICANDO’s 5th Annual Women’s Empowerment Conference, themed “RESTORED & READY.” More than just an event, this year’s conference marked five years since ICANDO was founded by Reischel Sawyer-Cobb on August 1, 2020. Guided by Philippians 4:13, “I CAN DO all things through Christ who strengthens me,” ICANDO continues to be a beacon for women seeking empowerment, community, and purpose.
From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was alive with energy and anticipation. Her Grruv Magazine captured the day with full media coverage, including red carpet interviews, photography, and video—ensuring every powerful moment of restoration and celebration was documented. Attendees were welcomed with food, music, and a lively 360 photo booth that set the stage for connection and joy.
The conference theme, RESTORED & READY, was felt in every detail. Host Ayana Blount, The Passion Strategist, guided the audience through a day of encouragement and transformation, creating space for women to not only hear stories of resilience but also reflect on their own.
A highlight of the afternoon was the ICANDO Scholarship Awards Presentation, where proceeds from the event supported the nonprofit’s ongoing commitment to education and leadership development. In a moving moment, an anniversary ribbon-cutting ceremony symbolized ICANDO’s five years of impact—a testimony to grace, growth, and God’s provision.
The Power Panel left attendees especially inspired. Featuring Nikki Rich, Miss T. Christine, and Andrea Wright, the women opened up about their personal journeys of restoration, resilience, and faith. Their stories served as a powerful reminder that setbacks can become stepping stones, and that purpose can truly transform lives.
Beyond the panels and presentations, the greatest impact came from the spirit of fellowship and networking. Women from different walks of life found common ground, shared wisdom, and sparked collaborations that will extend far beyond this single day. The conference wasn’t just about listening—it was about building, connecting, and leaving equipped for what’s next.
The 5th Annual ICANDO Women’s Conference was more than a celebration of an anniversary—it was a declaration. Women left restored, ready, and empowered, carrying the reminder that when women gather in faith and purpose, the ripple effect can transform families, communities, and generations.
