Ohhh Honey Honeybox
If sunshine was boxed, cut up and served on a board it would be Honeybox Las Vegas. A charcuterie board specifically. Honeybox is in the business of feeding people and souls from their charcuterie cups to their grazing tables. If you visit their website or instagram page your mouth will start to water immediately just from the images of fresh fruits and cheeses.
Ericka Lopez is the CEO and Owner of Honeybox Las Vegas. She is just as sweet as her line of business, she believes that her platform should be used to give back. “Both in California and in Vegas we love to partner with local non profits to give back. On a personal level I strive to inspire young women with big goals and work to employ and mentor young women with big aspirations for their own businesses, education and families.”
This mindset is exactly why Honeybox Las Vegas has a multitude of achievements. Like the Fox 5 Vegas viewers choice award. This is an annual event in Las Vegas where residents nominate their favorite local businesses. Not only does winning this award show the signs of having a strong business but also a strong community following. A business that treats its customers not just like an income but like a family.
“I think that being transparent, both about the struggles and the beauty of being an entrepreneur and representing a real mess, honest, broken background turned beautiful will inspire young women,” says Ericka. She wants to inspire young women who feel like they would never be able to see their dreams come true. “With tenacity, grit, and resilience you CAN achieve your dreams.”
She’s not just a representation of a broken background but she is also a role model of someone who is fixing the leftovers: “ I didn’t have the easiest childhood. Now in adulthood I am working through the mental repercussions of my childhood and relationship trauma. I think to be a small business owner is difficult in itself but with mental health challenges it’s so much more difficult. I’m proud of my tenacity to not ever let it disqualify me.”
Honeybox is not just a collection of cheeses, meats and breads beautifully curated to Erika or the community that works and supports it. It’s a grazing table of real stories, real struggles, and real hope that everyone put out using their hearts.
