That is the mission that Marble Wines has set and been following. Marble Wines was founded by Laytoya S. Jordan and Brianna Shelko, who came together to pour you a glass of beauty and belonging to the world of wine
Laytoya’s background is of an attorney, entrepreneur and a wine enthusiast. This blend is what allowed her to launch Marble Wines. Her vision for this brand is to create flavors that amplify women and their backgrounds as well as push for a more inclusive wine industry.
Brianna Shelko is also a woman of many talents. Her background is in Business and Administration, music, and digital marketing. She launched Shelko Social Media to help businesses create online presence which is what skills ultimately power Marble Wines.
Based in Atlanta, GA with California-made roots made their debut with Marble Red. Marble Red consists of dark berry tones with accents of fresh plum notes and a raspberry compote. Since that debut they’ve brought new energy and inclusivity to a man-led industry. They partner with women creators and collaborate with renowned winemakers.
“We’ve amplified underrepresented voices and inspired our community to see wine as more than a drink-it’s a shared experience rooted in intention and belonging,” they state.
As of right now Marble Wines is primarily an online store, however they are showcased in spaces like Happy Cork Brooklyn as well as taking part in a wine tasting in Bed-Vyne, Brooklyn. Which gives you the opportunity to take a look at Perryn Ryan Ford’s art on the shelf. Ford is a contemporary figurative illustrator and painter whose art is on Marble Red. She’s known for her celebration of the female form using abstract shapes and expressive lines.
As for the taste, true to their word Marble Wines collaborates with talented winemakers in order to complete their team. Their vintner, Chris Christensen, has a passion for craft and history which is probably what makes him perfect for his profession. He is a self-taught vintner and a master blender who has produced award-winning wines.
