From Healing to EMPOWERING
For licensed esthetician and educator Jessica, beauty goes far beyond skin deep. Her personal journey with Crohn’s disease has deeply shaped how she approaches self-care for both herself and her clients. Living with a chronic illness taught her that true beauty starts internally—through mental, emotional, and physical care. When clients come to Anastasia’s Crown, she focuses not only on glowing skin or perfect lashes but also on creating a nurturing, healing space. “Self-care isn’t a luxury for me; it’s survival, peace, and healing,” she shares. Her goal is to make every woman feel seen and cared for, because she understands that invisible battles often lie behind closed doors.
Jessica’s path to the beauty industry was not without fear and sacrifice. After a 12-year career in medical billing and coding, she made the bold decision to pursue her passion full-time. The transition was daunting, filled with financial fears and self-doubt. “There were nights I cried, wondering if I made the right choice,” she admits. However, the calling to do more and be more pushed her forward. Under the mentorship of Yvette, a Black business owner of Anastasia’s Crown with nearly a decade of success, Jessica found the encouragement she needed. That experience fueled her own passion for mentoring and uplifting others in the industry.
Today, Jessica continues to invest in building a supportive beauty community. Through her “Esthetic Exchange” group, she creates a safe space where estheticians can learn, ask questions, and grow without fear of competition. “Community is about connection, not comparison,” she explains. Inspired by her own mentor’s guidance, Jessica believes in lifting others as she climbs.
Her advice to women balancing careers, motherhood, and personal challenges is powerful: “You are allowed to be both a work in progress and a masterpiece at the same time.” Having faced teen motherhood and a chronic illness, Jessica embodies resilience and grace. She encourages others to grow at their own pace and never count themselves out, reminding them that success is about reaching back to uplift others along the way.
