When Deeluvley Cosmetics first came to life, the focus was clear: create nontoxic products that truly cared for the Black community.
Founder Deanna was determined to challenge an industry where harmful ingredients were still far too common. But the mission didn’t stop there. After hearing friends, family, and even strangers online share their struggles with allergens in beauty products, she expanded her vision—making sure Deeluvley’s offerings were also free of the top 10 allergens.
Inspired by her Southern roots and big family, Deanna wanted every shade, texture, and beauty need to be seen and celebrated. For two years, she tested products within her family, refusing to launch until everything met their diverse needs. Her upbringing instilled a deep sense of care, community, and intentionality—all of which shaped the heart of Deeluvley Cosmetics. Meanwhile, her Chicago hustle taught her how to bring that vision to life with grit and determination.
Balancing a full-time career in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion alongside running her business hasn’t been easy. But for Deanna, every challenge—every sold-out product, every market connection—is a reminder of her purpose. Seeing customers remain loyal even when products are temporarily out of stock, and hearing heartfelt encouragement from supporters, confirms that Deeluvley is much more than just a beauty brand—it’s a movement rooted in quality, inclusivity, and love.
