More Than Just A Portrait

Studio photography, now a major part of their work, is more than just a profession; it’s a tribute to their younger self. “I wanted to help people feel beautiful,” they explain. Growing up with insecurities, they found solace in creating images that made people see themselves in a new light. “With the right direction, anyone can feel like the models you see in magazines.” Their photography isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about empowerment, capturing the beauty in every individual and celebrating the uniqueness that makes each person special.

Photography is more than just an art form—it’s a way to capture emotions, tell stories, and bring visions to life. For this Midwest-born, Southern California-based photographer, the journey behind the lens has been shaped by both resilience and passion. With roots in Cleveland and an eye for creativity, they’ve turned their love for art into a career that blends raw authenticity with high-fashion aesthetics.

Growing up in a large family with limited resources, creativity became a necessity rather than a luxury. “I didn’t come from money, so I had to get creative,” they share. Their first experiences with photography weren’t in fancy studios but rather capturing the energy of their brother’s dance crew, photographing their own drawings, and documenting poetry slams at the Black Studies building at Cleveland State University. It wasn’t just about taking pictures—it was about preserving art in a way that felt personal and meaningful.

As both a photographer and a creative director, balancing artistic expression with a client’s vision is a crucial part of the process. Inspiration comes from various art forms—dance, film, and drawing—all of which help shape their approach.

Collaboration remains at the heart of my creative process. Some of my biggest inspirations include Rihanna, Virgil Abloh, and Teyana Taylor—artists known for their innovative contributions to music, fashion, and visual storytelling. The ultimate dream shoot? “I’d love to do a shoot featuring designs by Virgil, co-creative directed by Teyana, with Rihanna as the model.” A vision that blends high fashion, music, and cultural influence—just like their own journey in photography.

From Cleveland’s poetry slams to high-end studio shoots in California, their work is a testament to the power of creativity, perseverance, and the desire to make every subject feel like a work of art.

“If a client has a small idea, I build off of that by asking questions—about colors, favorite things, and emotions they want to convey.”

By blending personal artistry with client collaboration, they create images that are both visually stunning and deeply meaningful.
