Wellness Through Pilates
In the heart of Richmond, VA, Moriah Lett is changing the way people experience wellness—by meeting them exactly where they are. As a comprehensively certified Pilates instructor and licensed clinical mental health therapist, Moriah’s approach is as unique as it is necessary. Her brand, Dear Pilates, is a love letter to the healing process—blending movement, mindfulness, and emotional care into a holistic practice that honors both the body and mind.
Moriah’s journey into wellness began in the wake of personal tragedy. After the loss of her father, she found herself on a path of deep reflection and spiritual realignment.
"IF NOT NOW, THEN WHEN?"
DEAR PILATES I LOVE YOU
What started as a personal coping mechanism evolved into a professional calling. Pilates was a tool that helped me reconnect with my body, my breath, and my purpose,” she shares. “It became a way to grieve, heal, and eventually, grow.
Now, Moriah leads pop-up Pilates classes across Richmond—bringing wellness out of studios and into everyday spaces, making it accessible for people who might otherwise feel left out of traditional fitness environments. Her sessions don’t just focus on physical fitness; they are infused with therapeutic presence and community energy.
With a background in clinical therapy, Moriah’s classes are trauma-informed, thoughtful, and rooted in care. She’s also a mother, a creative, and a woman who’s learning to fully own her voice and mission.
I’ve battled imposter syndrome and anxiety, especially when pivoting from therapy to movement work,” she says. But I’ve learned that discipline and divine alignment are the real secret sauce.
Looking forward, Moriah’s vision is expansive. She wants to take Dear Pilates on the road—collaborating with other wellness leaders, creating healing spaces nationwide, and continuing to make wellness inclusive, intentional, and inspired by faith.
My story is proof that healing isn’t linear—but it is possible,” she says. “And when you surrender to alignment, God will make a way.
