As a Licensed Esthetics Instructor, spa service provider, and founder of The Beauty Gurl Link Up, Desireé is redefining what success, beauty, and leadership look like in the industry.
Her journey didn’t start with a business plan—it started with a hunger to learn. A self-proclaimed lifelong student, Desireé realized early on that traditional jobs couldn’t satisfy her need for growth. After leaving college without a degree, she searched for something that blended creativity with purpose. That search led her to skincare, makeup, and eventually lashes—where she found not just empowerment, but a calling.
“I wanted to help people feel better in a creative way,” she says. “And I knew I wanted the freedom to learn without barriers. Entrepreneurship gave me that.”
She quickly turned passion into profit, earning six figures in her first year lashing full-time, teaching over 1,500 students, and servicing more than 3,500 women. But her path hasn’t been without challenges. As a Lupus warrior, Desireé had to learn how to run a business while caring for her health. “Burnout is real,” she shares. “I’ve learned to harmonize hustle and self-care. I call it the ‘soft hustle.’”
Desireé’s authenticity is her superpower—and the foundation of her community impact. Through curated events like The Beauty Gurl Link Up, she bridges the gap between aspiring and seasoned professionals, offering education, inspiration, and connection.
Her biggest piece of advice? “Never stop learning, and never give up on yourself. You are the superpower.”
With a heart for mentorship and a story rooted in resilience, Desireé continues to show women—especially those living with chronic illness—that they don’t have to choose between success and self-care. “You’re only required to give your overflow,” she says. “Wanting to serve others doesn’t mean you have to neglect yourself.”
And above all, she lives by this mantra: Love always, all ways.
