Redefining Modernity

Leading with Compassion and Structure: The Work of Regina Siles-Garbini

Regina Siles-Garbini is reshaping the way families and schools approach behavior support. As the founder of Basic Behavior Solutions, Regina brings a rare blend of science, empathy, and cultural awareness to the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Serving the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area, her mission is simple but profound: to help children thrive through structure, emotional regulation, and meaningful connection.

With a Master’s degree in Education and ABA, Regina specializes in evidence-based behavior intervention planning (BIPs), Tier 2 and 3 school systems, and support for children with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD).

Her work goes beyond diagnosis—it centers the whole child and empowers both parents and teachers to respond with compassion and clarity.

Regina’s impact is visible. She’s helped schools reduce suspensions and elevate teacher confidence through tailored professional development, digital behavior toolkits, and one-on-one coaching.

Families turn to her for strategies that turn meltdowns into manageable moments and strengthen everyday routines. Her approach is both practical and transformative: grounded in data, shaped by lived experience.

Her journey hasn’t been without challenges. As a woman of color, entrepreneur, and mother, Regina faced the uphill task of building a business from scratch while navigating relocation and multiple attempts at passing the BCBA exam. Yet, those very experiences sharpened her skills and deepened her empathy—making her a force in a field where authentic representation is still far too rare.

Today, Regina’s work is more than a service—it’s a legacy. Through Basic Behavior Solutions, she’s not only addressing behaviors; she’s shifting narratives. She’s showing that you can lead with both strategy and softness, and that being a Black woman in behavioral science is not an anomaly, but an asset.

“My story is about walking in power while staying grounded in service,” she says. “Behavior is communication. When we understand it, we can transform it.”

Regina Siles-Garbini is proving that true change doesn’t just happen in therapy sessions or classrooms—it starts with seeing each child clearly, supporting them holistically, and believing in what’s possible.
