Grow with Social Spark
CIERRA,
After years in the public sector, the leap into full-time entrepreneurship isn’t always easy—but for the founder of Social Spark, the transition was powered by passion, preparation, and purpose.
“For two years, I had been quietly building Social Spark—taking on side projects, offering strategy sessions, and laying the groundwork,” she shares. While the fear of leaving behind the security of a steady salary and workplace camaraderie lingered, the decision felt inevitable. “What helped me take the leap was a combination of faith, support, and the education I was receiving in my graduate program. Each course became a tool I could apply in real time to scale my business.”
Now, with a client roster of over 25 small businesses—many of them minority- and woman-owned—her mission is clear: make branding and marketing feel approachable, empowering, and deeply personal.

How One Entrepreneur is Making Marketing More Human
One Strategy at a Time
My clients often feel overlooked by traditional agencies. Some are Gen Xers or Boomers navigating digital spaces for the first time. So I show up not just as a strategist, but as a partner. Whether it’s explaining tech in plain language or adjusting timelines to meet their comfort levels—we meet people where they are.
This commitment to access and inclusion is at the heart of her next project: The Digital Gen Project. Launching this fall, the initiative will help young people build digital literacy and career-readiness skills in a tech-driven world.
With AI shaping everything from job applications to content creation, students need to understand how to navigate this evolving landscape. As the daughter of educators, I hear firsthand how underprepared many of them feel—and I want to change that.
For creatives who want to use their talents to drive change, her advice is simple: “Start small. Offer your skills to someone in your community. Lead with empathy, stay grounded in your ‘why,’ and trust that impact will follow.
At Social Spark, strategy isn’t just about visibility—it’s about visibility with intention.
