OH STYLISH MYNKA

HG: What inspired your transition from styling celebrities to working with everyday women, and how has that shaped your approach to personal styling?

MM: Styling celebrities was an exciting experience, but I wasn’t feeling creatively fulfilled. In the world of celebrity styling, decisions are often guided by management teams, PR strategies, and strict dress codes. While there’s nothing wrong with that, I found myself craving more creative freedom and the ability to make a real, personal impact.

At the same time, everyday women—juggling careers, families, and personal goals—kept coming to me with the same frustration: “I have a closet full of clothes but nothing to wear.” Many of them reached out because they knew I had styled celebrities, and they wanted that same level of expertise applied to their own wardrobes. The transition felt natural.

I wanted to take the confidence-boosting power of celebrity styling and make it accessible to women who aren’t in the spotlight—but absolutely deserve to feel like they are. This shift shaped my approach to be more intuitive and solution-driven, ensuring my clients not only look amazing but also feel effortlessly put together in their daily lives.

HG: You emphasize confidence over trends in your styling philosophy. How do you help clients discover their unique style while staying authentic to themselves?

MM: I believe personal style is more than just clothes—it’s a reflection of who you are and where you’re headed. That’s why my approach goes beyond trends. I take an in-depth journey with my clients, diving deep into their lifestyle, psychology, and personality traits to uncover what truly resonates with them. It’s an extensive, thoughtful process because I want their wardrobe to not only reflect who they are today but also align with the confident, elevated version of themselves they’re stepping into.

Rather than forcing a particular aesthetic, I help my clients develop a signature style that feels effortless and empowering. Through my Style Clarity process, we explore their daily routines, personal and professional aspirations, and how they want to feel when they get dressed. This ensures that every outfit choice feels authentic and intentional.

Ultimately, my goal is to remove the stress and overwhelm from getting dressed, so my clients feel like the best version of themselves—every single day. Confidence isn’t about wearing the latest trend; it’s about wearing what makes you feel unstoppable.

HG: What are some common style challenges busy women face, and how do your signature programs and services provide practical solutions?

MM: Busy women often love fashion but struggle with putting outfits together in a way that flatters them and feels effortless. Many don’t know how to dress for their body type or how to choose pieces that work cohesively in their wardrobe. They buy items they like individually but end up feeling frustrated when nothing seems to fit or flow together. With packed schedules, they don’t have the time to experiment or figure it all out on their own, leading to overwhelm and decision fatigue. That’s when they hire me!

My services provide practical solutions by eliminating the guesswork and giving my clients the tools to confidently build a wardrobe that works for them. Through my process, I teach them how to select styles and silhouettes that flatter their body type, how to work with different fabrics and textures to create depth and interest, and how to curate a wardrobe that aligns with their lifestyle and personal aesthetic. Every client, whether in-person or virtual, receives personalized style boards, outfit formulas, and expert guidance that make getting dressed effortless. My goal is to ensure that my clients not only have a wardrobe they love but also have the knowledge and confidence to maintain it—so they always feel put-together, stylish, and empowered in their everyday lives.

HG: Can you share a memorable client transformation story that highlights the impact of personal styling on self-confidence and empowerment?

MM: One of the most memorable transformations I’ve had was with a client who had recently transitioned back into the workforce after taking time off to raise her children. She had a closet full of clothes but felt disconnected from her wardrobe and unsure of how to dress for her new professional role. She needed a wardrobe that balanced professionalism with the comfort required for being a mom. On top of that, her style had evolved during her time at home, making it even more challenging to figure out what worked for her new professional lifestyle.

Through our work together, I helped her identify the styles and silhouettes that flattered her body type while ensuring everything was versatile enough to transition from work to weekend. We focused on curating a wardrobe that not only reflected her personality but also made her feel powerful and confident in her new role. I taught her how to mix and match items, layer textures, and accessorize to elevate her look.

The transformation was incredible—not just in her appearance, but in her mindset. She went from feeling unsure and disconnected from her wardrobe to confidently stepping into meetings with a sense of self-assurance. By the end of our sessions, she had a wardrobe that not only suited her lifestyle but also aligned with her newfound professional identity. She felt empowered, stylish, and ready to take on the world.

This experience solidified my belief that personal styling goes beyond clothes; it’s about helping women rediscover their confidence and express their authentic selves through fashion.

Your style is a reflection of your inner strength. When you wear what empowers you, you show the world the power that’s already within you. Let your wardrobe be the armor that helps you walk confidently into every challenge and opportunity that comes your way."
